Weddings & Special Events
Channing Hall is a beautiful space perfect for hosting weddings, parties and other celebrations. Designed and built in 1881, the interior of the hall is in the Italianate style, complete with large arched windows and a high vaulted ceiling.
Located on the second floor, Channing Hall overlooks the Town Hall in the heart of the city. At 17 metres x 10 metres, the room can accommodate up to 120 people. It also has a Denon sound system with 4 large speakers, a separate microphone socket at the top end of the hall, and a wireless microphone. A lift is available from the ground floor, and tables and chairs can be arranged as required.
Upon booking Channing Hall for your event, please be aware that party organisers will be responsible for the security of the Surrey Street entrance. The Chapel has no license to sell alcohol, therefore if alcohol is to be sold the organisers will need to obtain a license from the Town Hall.
